I’m a trauma survivor from a very early age and have been surrounded by death, abuse, and abandonment for much of my life. Through hosting the stories of other survivors, I’ve come to realize that, with work, there’s a way out.

Jan Canty’s world was upended when her husband didn’t come home one night. She later learned he had been connected with a pimp and a prostitute – giving them money hand over fist – leaving her massively in debt.
After having to identify his body and being hounded by the media during his salacious trial, she needed to discover her why. The journey was one of trauma and betrayal, but she was unable to grieve for years.
Still unable to share where she lives, due to threats. Jan has found freedom in sharing the truth. Jan has traveled the world volunteering to help others to help heal her own pain. After 30 years she was ready to tell people what really happened and finally be free of the pain she was carrying.
I was honored to meet Jan. I am sure my listeners will be inspired by her tenacity and courage to never give up.
