Finding Your Future by Letting Go of the Past when Forgiveness Seems Impossible with Meagan O’Nan
Have you ever spent so much time on self-work and are almost to a point of “feeling healed” when a certain person or situation triggers you so dramatically that you feel like you have to practically start over? Are you struggling with forgiving the past, others, or yourself? Is the difficult process of finding forgiveness holding you back from true freedom and a future?
This week I dive into the murky waters of forgiveness with award-winning author, keynote speaker, and vulnerable storytelling expert, Meagan O’Nan.
Meagan is the author of the award-winning book, “Creating Your Heaven on Earth,” and “Courage: Agreeing to Disagree Is Not Enough.” Her third book is on it's way and will be published in January 2023. Meagan is also a member of the Forbes Coaches Council where she produces regular content for Forbes.com.
Forgiveness is not a simple topic and certainly not something that can be “all figured out” in a one hour podcast. But, much like Meagan’s story shows us, even cracking the window open a little bit on this conversation and letting that part of you – the part that you thought was completely past all hope of moving forward in a situation – see that full-circle healing might actually be possible, could be that first baby step into your unburdened future. I know it has been one for me.
I hope you come out of this week’s conversation much like I have, with a lot more clarity about what forgiveness truly means and looks like for you.
