I’m a trauma survivor from a very early age and have been surrounded by death, abuse, and abandonment for much of my life. Through hosting the stories of other survivors, I’ve come to realize that, with work, there’s a way out.
Today my guest, Caia DelaVergne, tells her story. In 2015, she was shot in the head along with another friend.
Her story is one of survival but also how Caia went on to become a Mom and not let her story define her life. Caia has actively worked through her trauma in numerous ways and has gone on to share her story to help other shooting victims.
She has gone on to become a spokesperson for Moms Demand Action. Her story is one of bravery and resilience and I am beyond honored to have her on my podcast.
