I’m a trauma survivor from a very early age and have been surrounded by death, abuse, and abandonment for much of my life. Through hosting the stories of other survivors, I’ve come to realize that, with work, there’s a way out.
As a mother of two my number one priority is keeping my children safe In a world that is filled with uncertainty. It can be hard navigating how to keep our children safe as well as giving them tools to keep themselves safe. That’s why I am so happy to have this episode’s guest consent educator Rosalia Rivera.
On today’s episode Rosalia will be going over the importance of teaching our children to set boundaries for themselves. Having conversations about bodily autonomy, consent, and more with our children can be challenging at times but it is so necessary. And Rosalia’s guidance parents can have these conversations with more insight and confidence.
Discussing these topics can especially be triggering for parents who are survivors themselves, Rosalia understands this and provides parents with the tools and resources necessary to teach their kids in a way that feels empowering rather than fear based. Rosalia is such an incredible force who has already helped thousands of parents and I look forward to seeing her continue making this world a safer place for our children.
